A Washington Post article by Robert McCartney, Sunday 12 December,
Metro Sec. C. was enlightening. As a somewhat "newby" to Prince
Georges County l learned a little something from the article about the
roots of corruption, however, I learned most of what I know about the
corruption in Prince Georges County from being a victim of it.

Typically, Mr. McCartney when the corruption is pervasive in any
environment, it comes from the top. Hence, the county government
leaders, on down to the local government bodies. This encompasses law
enforcement agencies, watch dog agencies, businesses and residents.

I live in an area that is so corrupt that you can't talk to your
neighbor. You don't know who on your street is an undercover agent,
informant, or just your plain old-everyday snitch trying to make a
dollar. (No, I don't mind writing publicly about it. I am madder than
you can imagine, and everytime I read "nation's wealthiest black
jurisdiction" I get angrier..well the bible tells us to cease from
anger..so I write about it...publicly. Afterall, I have no privacy.
My computer has been hacked into and my cell phone calls are
monitored. I disconnected my land lines because everytime I came in
the house from outside my telephone would ring.)

Seat Pleasant Maryland is an extremely uncomfortable place to live. I
purchased a home in Seat Pleasant in July 2004. I have been fighting
a presence from day one that you can't get your arms around, but you
know its there...corruption.

I used to walk back and forth to the metro every day until early this
year. A guy came up to me out of the blue and tried to make me take
$50 from him. The odd thing about it is that two cars came by, people
I knew or rather familiar with, that have never came by before
"wanting to give me a ride". This tells me two things. The people
who offered me the ride were aware that someone was going to try to
force me to accept $50 and that it was going to be an uncomfortable
situation. I refused the ride politely.

Incredible. The guy tells me that he bet this man that I would accept
$50 from him. He said that if I accept $50 from him the man would
give him $100. The guy did not stop at, "no, what is your problem?"
He gets in his car and drives further down the street and comes up to
me again trying to make me accept the $50. That day was a turning
point. After that I came under attack. You will have to read the
following to find out what I mean by "attack". (Read discerningly. I
am a bornagain believer. At some point I had to communicate in a
manner for all to understand.)

McCartney mentions in his article that the residents of the county
feel denigrated. They do. You can live in an unjust environment but
for so long. You can't go to the police, your county government
officials won't help you. Everyone's phone is tapped. (I may be
exaggerating a little here, but I would wager that a majority of the
citizen's cell phones, landlines and computer's are under
survellience. I know mine is. What's up with that? Is this how the
Seat Pleasant government or Prince Georges County government maintains
social stability? Where's the warrant, where's the protection of your
constitutional right to expect privacy in your home and on your
person. What's with the 24 hour survellence? Is that just for people
who don't go along with the program?

What's all this I hear about the "nation's wealthiest black majority
jurisdiction"? Do people think that because there is a "pocket" of
blacks who are well educated and make six or high-five figure incomes
make a wealthy black county, I beg to differ.

Wealth and no morals. PhDs, Graduate and Bachelor degrees and no clue?
