We've got some exciting news for Northern Virginia civic hackers!  The NoVA Code for America Brigade has teamed up with the National Science Foundation, the City of Alexandria and Arlington County to host a two day civic hackathon as part of the National Day of Civic Hacking. June 1st and 2nd.

You'll get to work with national data sets from the National Science Foundation and the City of Alexandria and existing civic applications currently being developed or already in use by the City of Alexandria and Arlington County. Register today

This is a very cool national-local government partnership that gives anyone attending a rare chance to access some very cool data sets and win some one of a kind prizes from NSF. The event will be held at the National Science Foundation facility located a short walk from the Ballston Metro stop.

Refreshments will be provided.

Register here--space is limited so don't waithttp://novacivichackingday.eventbrite.com/

Register early and you'll receive a $100 gift certificate for Amazon Web Services*  (you must attend the event to receive the gift certificate).

Thanks,

Tracy and Michelle
