Hi all,

In my copious spare time I'm coordinating a technical miniconf for lca2013 (short for linux.conf.au, the most awesome technical conference you'll ever go to, which happens to also be focused on all things open source) on January 29th, 2013.

The miniconf details are up at http://linux.conf.au/schedule/30051/view_talk?day=tuesday - it's a one day event and you can buy a one day pass to attend if you aren't already going to linux.conf.au (which runs for the full week).

We also thought it would be useful to get a tech crowd to define some success criteria for opengov in 2013. Check out the wiki, and even if you aren't coming to the miniconf, feel free to add your thoughts about how we can define success in this space so we can have something to measure and track progress throughout 2013 and beyond :) Wiki is at https://lca2013.linux.org.au/wiki/Miniconfs/OpenGovernment

Hope to see a bunch of you there.

Cheers,
Pia
