of Commerce, NOAA, intends to purchase the following spare parts:
Centrifugal Fan, Westinghouse P/N 645A690H03, 50 each; RBDT Switch,
Westinghouse P/N 3D55852G01, 24 each; Charging Diode Assembly,
3D55729G01, 20 each; Capacitor, Fixed Mica Dielectric, High Voltage,
Westinghouse P/N 645A702H06, 20 each. The original items were provided to
the Government under the National Weather Service NexRad Radar Program.
The prime contractor was Unisys Corporation now Lockheed Martin. The
items specified were manufactured by subcontract to Westinghouse
(Northrup Gruman). The manufacturers cage code is 97942. The Government
intends to purchase these devises from Westinghouse Canada. The
Government knows of no other source and believes that this item is
proprietary to Westinghouse. The Government does not have specifications
or drawings for this item. The intended procurement is for supplies for
which the Government intends to acquire from one manufacturer under the
authority of 41 USC253(c)(1). The Government will accept offers from any
qualified source capable of supplying the item. The spare parts will be
delivered to the National Weather Service, Kansas City, on a FOB
Destination basis. Any small business source, able to provide the exact
make and model of the equipment referenced herein is encouraged to
respond to this announcement. Interested firms should submit in writing,
its name, addresses, point of contact, telephone number, business size,
and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified
equipment, and the name, telephone number, and point of contact for some
businesses or other Government agency to which it has previously provided
the item. This information should be submitted to the address stated
herein or may be faxed to telephone number 816-426-7530, ATTN: Chuck
Hughes. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3679. The Small
Business size standard is 500 employees. This is not a small business set
