LISTED ABOVE CAN SUBMIT AN OFFER. The statement of work is to complete
design/engineering, from the 30% concept documents attached, to 100%
construction documents, and to construct a new approximately 17,033
sq.ft. single story, main post office building on a approximately 4.5
acre site. Work includes a future Postal Retail Store, lobby, workroom,
administrative offices, support acres, loading dock and equipment, and
covered carrier parking. The design/build entity will construct the
building using a steel frame, brick veneer with metal stud backup
exterior walls, concrete slab on grade, thermoplastic PVC membrane
roofing and standing metal seam at carrier canopy, metal studs and gypsum
board interior walls and lay-in acoustical ceilings. Complete plumbing,
HVAC and electrical systems will include roof-top units, power, lighting
and limited fire protection system as required by most stringent
state/local code and USPS requirements. Also included in the development
of the site is parking for customers, employees, postal vehicles,
loading dock maneuvering area, mail drop box lane and complete
landscaping, fencing and signage. Site development includes design of a
storm water management plan as required by state or local code and USPS
requirements, and extension/connection of all site utilities. The
design/build entity will contact local agencies, apply for and pay for
all permits (except building permit), tap connections and utility
connection/development fees. As part of the solicitation, the USPS is
furnishing preliminary drawings, surveys, contract requirements, building
criteria, project specifications and other information to describe the
extent of the quality of the work required. The design and construction
of the facility will meet or exceed the level of quality indicated in
these documents. As part of the work of the contract, the design/build
entity will verify that any portion of, and the complete design based
upon the furnished documents, fully complies with the most stringent
applicable state/local codes and ordinances. The estimated price range is
between $1,800,000 and $2,200,000 with completion within 330 calendar
