Branch knows of only one source, Lightspeed Software, Inc., capable of
providing the following software upgrades for Wang Systems VS 7000: 1)
Lightspeed NVS Tier5 (P/N:1550-3T), quantity 4; 2) Annual Maintenance for
Lightspeed NVS Tier5 (P/N: 1550-3M), quantity 4; 3) Lightspeed 32-Bit
Windows Option Tier5 (P/N: 1550-12), quantity 4; 4) Annual Maintenance
for Lightspeed 32-Bit Windows Option Tier5 (P/N: 1550-12M), quantity 4;
5) Lightspeed SCSI option (P/N: 1550-9), quantity 4 and 6) Annual
Maintenance for Lightspeed SCSI Option (P/N: 1550-9M), quantity 4. The
Government intends to negotiate an award on a sole-source basis utilizing
simplified acquisition procedures with Lightspeed Software, Inc., 1800
19th Street, Bakersfield, California 93301. Firms having the ability to
provide this software must submit written notification that demonstrates
their ability to satisfy the requirement. Include name (s) and telephone
number(s) of contact person (s) to which the offeror is providing the
software and provide technical and pricing data, citing a GSA Schedule
number if applicable, to the attention of Shelby Buford, Jr., referencing
97L048022. No solicitation is available, therefore requests for such
documents will be considered invalid responses. If no affirmative
responses are received by close of business January 5, 1998, the
Contracting Officer will proceed with the acquisition to Lightspeed
Software, Inc. (0357)
