other items necessary for the roof asbestos abatement (certified
contractor) and roof replacement project at the Main Post Office in
Peekskill, New York as further described in the Technical Specifications.
It is mandatory for contractors to submit a minimum of three (3)
references. Attendance at the pre-proposal meeting is strongly
recommended. Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 1997 at 11:00
AM at the Main Post Office, 738 South Street, Peekskill, New York. Cost
range is $125,000.00 -- $250,000.00. Solicitation packages will be
available on or about January 23, 1998. Solicitation packages may be
obtained from the U.S. Postal Service, New York Facilities Service
Office, 2 Hudson Place-5th Floor, Hoboken, New Jersey 07030-5502, Attn:
Lori E. Savage, Phone No. (201) 714-5444. Requests for solicitation
packages must be accompanied by $100.00 company check or USPS money order
made payable to Disbursing Officer, USPS. Payments for solicitation
packages are NON-REFUNDABLE. Sealed offers will be received by the U.S.
Postal Service, NY Facilities Service Office, 2 Hudson Place -- 5th
Floor, Hoboken, NJ 07030-5502, prior to but no later than February 13,
1998. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received,
the identity of offers received, the amount of any offer or relative
standing of the offers will not be disclosed to ANYONE until time of
