to purchase a gas chromatograph. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation
for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR
Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. This is being issued as a Request for Quotation. This
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This solicitation
is 100% small business set-aside SIC #3823, 500. CLIN 0001 Hewlett
Packard capillary S/S1 inlet with EPC for 0-100 psi split/splitless
operation (includes digital control of column head pressure, column flow
rate, split ratio and all other pneumatic parameter), or equal 1 each.

pneum. Ctrol) optimized for capillary columns only. (Includes digital
control of all detector gases, and includes connectors for capillary
columns) or equal, 1 each. CLIN 0003 Hewlett Packard factory plumbing for
quick installation (pre-plumbed so only final gas connections need be
made at installation) or equal, 1 each. CLIN 0004 Hewlett Packard G1916A
autosampler for HP 6890 GC (includes controller, injector, 100 sample
tray, communication cables, mounting bracket for HP6890 and start-up
consumables) or equal, 1 each. CLIN 0005 Hewlett Packard G2070AA GC
ChemStation software for data acquisition, control and data evaluation of
chromatographic data from one GC. Requires but does not include
MS-Windows 95 or NT 4.0 or equal, 1 each. CLIN 0006 Hewlett Packard 710
HPIB interface card for ISA compatible PCS. Required for the HPGC
chemstation to communicate with the instrument(s) or equal 1 each. CLIN
0007 G1530A HP 6890 series gas chromatograph including 30 m x 0.32 mm
column, control of oven and six small heated zones, keyboard with four
line display, built-in HPIB and RS-232-C, and dual analog out or equal,
1 each. Both installation and operator training shall be provided by the
bidder. The bidder shall replace or repair defective equipment for a
period of at least 1 year after purchase and delivery. Delivery to be
within 30 days after receipt of order to USDA, ARS, MWA, 1815 North
University St. Peoria, IL 61604. The resultant contract will be FOB

Items apply to this acquisition. Quotations will be evaluated on price
and price related factors. Offerors offering "equals" should submit
descriptive literature for evaluation. All items are tax exempt. Offers
are to be received not later than the close of business, December 30,
