202/366-4227 The Federal Highway Administration intends to negotiate a
sole source cooperative agreement requiring an 80/20 Government/Recipient
cost share with ITS America to facilitate the implementation of ITS
program technology and advances; coordinate, organize and convene
technical committees examining technology and program issues; guide and
provide direction to the ITS program for the Department of
Transportation; convene special task forces critical to the success of
the ITS program; and organize state chapters to assist in the
dissemination and execution of the ITS program. Concerns having the
ability to furnish the following are requested to give written
notification (including telephone number for a point of contact)to the
procuring office listed in the notice within 15 calendar days from the
date of this synopsis. This is not a formal solicitation. However,
concerns that respond should furnish detailed data concerning their
capabilities and may request to receive a copy of the solicitation when
