58 -- MULTI-BAND INTER/INTRA TEAM RADIO (MBITR)

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to
increase the estimated quantities of Multi-Band Inter/Intra Team Radios
(MBITR) and ancillary equipment that may be ordered under Contract No.
USZA22-97-D-0019. The maximum quantity shall be increased by 6,000 radios
to a new maximum quantity order of 18,000, of both the URBAN and MARITIME
versions. Ancillary equipment will be adjusted accordingly. Thales
Communications, Inc., 22605 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871
developed and produces this highly specialized radio under the subject
contract. This action will be accomplished under the authority of 10
