Dear Colleague:

Progressive Engineer, the online magazine covering the mid-Atlantic and
northeast regions of the U.S., has recently posted a new feature story that
might be of interest. It covers a group of companies based in the Boston
area known as Ecological Engineering Associates (EEA), who design
alternative wastewater treatment systems that conserve and recycle water and
use plants to absorb pollutants. In addition to saving water, these systems
save money and energy, reduce pollution, and yield valuable products from
the plants. Municipalities, industries, and homeowners use these systems,
and EEA has been working with regulators to get them approved.

Also, our new editorial looks at whether states should license software
engineers.
