Hello dear friends! Hare Krishna, Gouranga greetings!

Rathayatra Carnival Festival is coming to the North of England. There
will be not only one festival, but THREE in the row - in Manchester,
Edinburgh & Newcastle.

The Rathayatra is more than 5000 years old making it the oldest street
festival in the world! Originating from the ancient holy city of
Jagannath Puri in India, millions of pilgrims around the world attend
the festivals every year. Celebrations centre on a procession of
chariot through the streets symbolising the return of Lord Krishna to
his home in Vrindavan. It is a stunningly colourful and serene
experience for locals and visitors alike. It gives great amounts of
inspiration, joy, enthusiasm and mercy.

There will be three Rathayatra Festivals held in North of England
7th-9th August:

1) 7th August, Saturday, MANCHESTER RATHAYATRA, 1PM-5.30PM. Procession
STARTS 1PM @ Cathedral Gardens. Procession is expected to conclude at
around 3PM with Drama - Dance - Exhibitions - Mantra Music - Free
Vegetarian Feast.

2) 8th August, Sunday, 1st ever EDINBURGH RATHAYATRA, 2PM-4PM.
Procession STARTS 2PM @ Holyrood Park Road near Commonwealth Pool,
Holyrood Park, EH16 5BB. The Rathayatra festival in Edinburgh this
year will be a part of Edinburgh Festivals’ Cavalcade procession. Thus
there will be hundreds and thousands of participants and spectators.

advantage of this event. By getting the honor of pulling the ropes of
the giant chariot one is granted unlimited happiness. Lord Jagannath
