In the Spotlight – Caribbean Islands

The Caribbean Islands are located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, in what is aptly called the Caribbean Sea. This region has also been known as the West Indies, and are geographically considered part of North America. According to the World Atlas, the Caribbean is made up of more than 7000 islands and islets that include several independent countries, as well as overseas territories of other nations. Surprisingly, the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos are not considered Caribbean Islands, but will be listed here due to their close proximity.
In total, the HHH Genealogy has recorded 30 hash clubs running over the years, with the first one being the Cayman Islands H3 founded by Raymond Legge on 17 Apr 1978. We currently do not know where Raymond came from, but as you will see below, hashing in the Caribbean has had many influences from all over the world.
