World Hash Events: June 2019

Hello hashers,
Spring is in the air all over the northern hemisphere, and hashers are pulling out their tents and travel bags. Many new hash events now posted for the month of June, with about a half dozen campouts planned, there are a couple 2000th Run events going on in Scotland and Austria, Manchester is celebrating their 7th anniversary, Spain is getting into the action with two events, another hash cruise in the Mediterranean, and the Great Alaska Interhash will also take place with near 24 hours of sunlight a day. Sad News . . . Harry "God Knows" Howell passed away on 15 April 2019. GK was not the oldest hasher at the age of 85, the current oldest is Darwin Don also in Australia, but GK did begin his active hashing journey only a week before Tumblin' Bill Panton (although TB did run his first hash four years earlier). GK was a founding member of Father Hash in Singapore, and went on to found the 4th oldest hash club, in Kuching. As always, I don't mourn the passing . . . I celebrate the life of my hash friends. Many Hash clubs have migrated to Facebook over the years, as HashSpace faded. But FB can be messy, with getting banned, or losing your privacy. So, a hasher has created a new anonymous website called Hash Social. No real names required, no personal information, just your own hash persona. Check it out . . . https://www.hashsocial.org

A new hash club has formed in Las Vegas, dubbing themselves as the Atomic Shit Show (ASS) H3. They are an over the top party and debauchery based hash, and I hope they put as much effort into their trails as they do the wild side.
