to everyone in my list
::
in the beginning...
there was scratching spirals on cave walls, and now you are reading
this message.

amazing.

This email is written in Singapore and i am using this machine to
record musings about experiences in india and europe and america and
deep with the latitudeless inner space of mindlessness. In the
beginning, people didn't have a clue what was in the depths of the
cave 100 m away because the light never reached all the way back there
(Hmmm, perhpas that phrase has some corollary with the depths of our
hearts if we dare to listen) ... And now we are wandering with style
and ease 1000's of km and communicating all along the way...

From the back of my passport cover (a lovely gift from MeeM): We
travel the world seeking beauty, and we find it not unless we carry it
with us... ok i was close but i just googled it and it actually reads
like this: " Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we
must carry it with us or we find it not." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

So HI!!! how are you today? Feeling alive? Feeling brilliantly lucky,
blessed, and amazingly privileged to be alive?
I do hope this first message to my email list finds you well and that
at least a small phrase or three will ring true in the depth of your
being and help us to feel the unity that we actually represent (and
often hide from like clueless comazombie coward hobbits ;-). OK living
and interacting with Daniel is not completely without effect... cheers
bro :-)

I don't even know what to say about india. I can tell you what i did
and where i went and what i saw. But I don't feel like it right now.

I feel like asking you to take a look at these pictures:

from inside a "tsunami tent" in Mammalapuram and the truly luxurious
indian cuisine that was prepared for Ole and I, and reflect for a
moment on this: This family has a free standing home with two rooms
and strong walls and a brick roof. Although slightly damaged, it
wasn't destroyed in the tsunami waves. They choose to live, instead,
in this tent house because they value the community of others who also
live in the neighboring tents. They call all older boys of the same
generation "ana" - meaning big brother. I feel like asking you to
reflect about your family, your community, your concepts of luxury and
financial situation. How big is your family? Would you like your
children to call your neighbors big brother? to mean it? I love the
chance to think about this stuff! It was so special to receive these
"in my face" lessons about priority and grace and global family and
resource distribution... things i had considered before from an
intellectual perspective, things that i could never understand in
quite the same way without this experiential perspective... Thank you
india, thank you venkat and family, thanks be...

I don't want these everyone emails to be too long so i will stop with
some comic relief:

ps - a small note / explanation about the comazombie inside joke from
above: My roomate is often mentioning that there are too many people
who partake in the monotony of the machine and sleep walk undead
through the motions of life missing the blissful feeling of unity that
awaits if we manage to slow down just a half step... its not menat to
be an attack at anyone specifically, rather a general prompting to ask
oneself the questions like "how aware am i of my surroundings?" "how
dynamic is my existence?" "how often do i zombify?" "how often do i
feel whole and satified??"
.....on the way to NZ....peace out.
