Greetings and warm wishes into the new year!

Today is epiphany! Just two days after perihelion, and I am returning to life from a deep and special inner journey this year.

I have in recent years been a bit introverted around the holidays (ok maybe a bit more than a bit)... and struggled with issues of social pressure and expectations and often manifested diseases around this time. Which has been a struggle because of the discomfort, but also a relief, giving me a good excuse to be alone and reflective.

Anyway, this year it happened again, my body decided to employ the Herpes Zoster virus that it has been storing in my nerve cells since it was last used to manifest "Chicken Pox" and this time i got a crazy swollen eye and sores on my forehead. And I made friends with the process... I realized that in my world, in my body, a virus cannot be an "attacker". It is dependent on my cellular machinery to be duplicated, it cannot attack anything... its existence is much closer to a tool than an enemy. The body has used the virus as part of a cleansing cycle, and for this cycle I am deeply grateful! I have used the down time as part of a fantastic creative process, getting in much closer contact with my essence... with who i really want to be, with how i really want to live... 

I was also blessed to get in contact with a very interesting line of thinking, and in response to this line of thinking, I have created a personal survey about the holiness of the holidays:
