Dear Friends of Tamera,

„What does it mean to become a global thinking person? Global thinking begins with the compassion and interest in the life of others, of children, of animals. Out of compassion, you start to seriously ask yourself: How can I help?“
This quote by Dieter Duhm could be a motto of the training time which has started in Tamera and will last for several months – education in deep peace- and healing-knowledge, facilitated by the founders of the project, Dieter Duhm and Sabine Lichtenfels. At the end of the winter time, there shall be a new concept for peace education and a group of people who want to orient their lives towards the question: How can I help?
More News from Tamera:
Review 2009:
Tamera gives thanks for an extraordinarily rich year 2009. It was a year in which one could learn how inspiration leads to vision building, and how a vision gathers different forces to achieve a common goal. In many fields there have been new initiatives, growth, and decisions. At the end of the year there was a pilgrimage which connected us in a new way with the country of Portugal, the Testfield inauguration of the SolarVillage, which drew a lot of public attention, and the Global Grace Day, which connected many young people in the world in a spirit of a new beginning and reconciliation. Seminars and events 2010: In 2010, there will be many seminars and other events to get to know Tamera or to take part in a peace education in different areas. Still to be completed: www.tamera.org/index.php?id=76&L=0
Holzer Permaculture Training Cycle 2010-2011: Tamera offers a training cycle to learn the basic working methods and domains of application of Holzer’s Permaculture in practice, to develop the knowledge about relationships in nature, and to deeply study the worldwide need for ecological healing and the actual possibility of building subsistence economies. It will consist of five courses throughout the year. www.tamera.org/index.php?id=662&L=0
Colombia 2010: Second Peace Education Meeting in the Peace Community of San José de Apartadó. From February 24 to March 5, 2010, there will be an Education Meeting specially for young Colombian peaceworkers within the framework of the „Global Campus“ (Tamera) and the „Universidad de Resistencia de Colombia“. It will start shortly after the fifth anniversary commemoration of the killing of Luis Eduardo Guerra and other members of the Peace Community, and will be led by Sabine Lichtenfels and the Universidad de Resistencia de Colombia. This event will continue to deepen the first and successful peace education meeting held in October 2008. More: www.tamera.org/index.php?id=658&L=0
Summer University 2010: „Tamera – Testfield for a New Culture“ from July 26 to August 5, 2010. A Think-tank for global peacework and the worldwide development of peace models. Please read the invitation and forward it to interested people. The Summer University is an international meeting where you can see the full spectrum of Tamera´s peacework and get to know the network partners. More: www.tamera.org/index.php?id=657&L=0
Regional Network for Sustainability. After one year of intensive work to become independant from  industrial and globalized products, the first results can be seen. Together with local organic farmers and regional producers, Tamera is building a network for sustainability and food autonomy. The short term aim is not to have to buy food in the supermarket by the end of 2010, and to produce the electricity we need in a renewable way. The long term aim is to create a model for a society which does not use any goods that caused suffering in a person, animal or landscape. More: www.tamera.org/index.php?id=668&L=1
The Animal Project Tamera asks for your cooperation. For many years, it has been taking animals into care, mainly dogs which urgently need healing, because many have lived under difficult conditions. But the capacity of Tamera is limited. After their body and soul have healed, they need a new home. If you can help and find a new home for a dog, we will have space to take in another animal that needs help. More: www.tamera.org/index.php?id=659&L=0
We wish you a beautiful Christmas time and a happy new year!
