Hi all J

Why has this mailing list & homepage been so quiet lately?

Besides being a manic party animal, reliable DJ and overworked promoter since Christmas season??

Hold tight for a bumper load of gig announcements, FK5 party photos and a new web design!  The Got Funk? site www.gotfunk.com.au is undergoing modifications… apologies for the serious lack of updating while I’m changing internet providers.

Things will be back to normal pace very soon… Gig listings & my (sometimes) questionable blog can always be found on myspace, drop by and say hi! www.myspace.com/got_funk

Hope you can join us in April as the crew thrown down our next event; with big hair, phat laces, and the funkiest beats.  The 2nd instalment of My Broken Beat Box happens this ANZAC eve.  In the meantime there’s a bumper load of gigs coming up, including my debut appearance at OFFBEAT this Sunday.  Trust, come & check the Back to Mine styles with afternoon BBQ, beers & some quality humans playing fabulous music from 4pm!

Thanks for reading & don’t forget to have a great weekend!  Much love xo ides

MY BROKEN BEAT BOX [#2]
ANZAC DAY EVE
Tuesday 24 April 2007 @Lounge

Has your beat has been looped too often?
Nostalgic for a cowbell?
Need a dirty block party rap bout chicks & food & just having fun?
Or a place to throw down your bboy dance-off styles versus the chronic hipsters?

Rock steady, cause your favourite local funk-break DJs are bringing it all back... Lil Stormer, DJ Ides, Brain & DJ Snowie return this Anzac Eve with a nite of dope breaks, funk beats, hip hop classics & their legendary block party antics!

Doors open 10pm, $10 entry
Lounge - (upstairs) 243 Swanston Street, Melbourne CBD

Dont forget to add us!

The evening is hosted by Mr. T.
