Then all eyes turned to Lyal, the only member of the group who had yet
to speak.
"Sack up or pack up fool" grumbled Martin as they waited for the
young-looking lycan to speak.

Lyall looked around, slightly daunted by all the information at once. He grinned, embarrassed and nervous, his voice trembled a little and flicked between accents, suddenly very aware that everyone in the room was looking at him and waiting for him to speak.

"I'm sorry, I honestly thought being told to come here was going to be someone playing a joke on me." He looked around at all the faces. "All I've ever wanted to do is help those in need and protect people from harm, this looks like a great opportunity for me to put that to work. I'm in." He managed to stutter.

Kind Regards,

Jethro smiled a knowing smile. He didn't select his team randomly,
even if the youngster didn't know why he was chosen - Jethro did.
Everyone of them would have a role to play. They'd need Callum's
research skills, they'd need Bailey's strength. Joslin's telekineses
though not as powerful as that of Morgan was the only thing that may
be able to counter his weaponry.
He also knew better than to spell that out.
Instead his fingers flew over the keyboard and a series of beeps rang
around the room as everybodies mobile computers responded to an
e-mail. Attached was the research files on their case, a printable
e-ticket for the teleport station and 5000 US dollars.

"Think of that as initial funding. Should get you most of what you're
likely to need." he explained regarding the money. There's a teleport
station about two blogs from here in the old 5th Avenue subway
station. The sooner you get going the better. "

Bailey interrupted him. "There's one more question you really could
answer... who do you think is the most likely targets in England sucka
?"
Jethro was thoughtful: "Vampires - that's Charles Williams, recently
elected head of the London Chamber of Commerce. Lycan's - I'd wager on
Peter Smith - shifts into a barn-owl but he is running for parliament
and stands a very good chance of being the next member for Leeds.
Humans... that's trickier - there are many, many humans in powerful
positions. Anybody in parliament, the prime minister ... king William
himself ? Actually... can you imagine the outrage if somebody managed
to get him ? He's in his 80's now but he's been the most popular
British monarch in centuries ever since he ascended the throne instead
of his father a few decades ago...", Jethro snapped from his musing,
"but then again - very, very well protected so don't consider that
much to go on. If we're lucky - the London target is non-human...
otherwise there is just too many people to watch."

Bailey nodded: "Okay, so I say we go have a little meeting with Smith
and Williams. Anybody got a better idea ?"

Callum nodded absently, already opening up the files and starting to read.

"Thanks Jethro" he said somewhat distractly.

OOC - Fortunately the death penalty for such a treasonous act as you just committed was abolished in 1998. :)

OOC: What treasonous act ? Speculating about who the next monarch of
Britain would be, or his likely popularity ?

OOC: Ending this by pointing out that since I'm not a British citizen,
it is not nor has it ever been legally possible for me to commit
treason against Britain.

Pandora nodded slowly at Baily. "No better idea.... We might as well get going."

"yes" agreed Joslin. "The quicker we get going, the fewer die. And personally, I'm in need of some action."
