Ämne: Job opening at the Copenhagen Center for Glycomics (Post-doc/bioinformatics/data science)
Dear fellow Glyco-colleagues,
I would like to let you all know that I’ve got a position open for a post-doc to join my group and the Copenhagen Center for Glycomics, doing data science/bioinformatics (position closes 2nd April 2023).
The position is funded by my recent GolgiNet grant from the Novo Nordisk Foundation, in which we’re going to dig down into what kind of patterns we can understand regarding the regulation of the glycosylation machinery. The scope of what we’re looking at is quite large, and there’s lots of opportunities to expand expertise in areas ranging from RNA-seq (also at the single cell/spatial level), glycoproteomics, language models, predictors and structural prediction. Basically we’re after someone who can do either the informatics side of things, or can do the glycobiology side of things (or both!) and we’ll support the development of the person into the role, including providing funding for at least two years, and supporting the person with applications for their own personal funding to help them on their independent career track.
We’ve got a great mix of interests at the center, and work in a cross-disciplinary manner by default – with a large amount of data and experimental techniques on hand to really give a unique angle on any bioinformatic approaches to the problems we’re solving.
If you don’t have anyone in mind, I would appreciate it if you helped to spread the word about this opportunity to join our team in Copenhagen!
