Backup to eml Files Missing Labels

I've got GYB setup and running with a service account - fantastic program, by the way!

My issue is that when downloading a user's email messages, gmail labels are not coded into the header. Is this by design? My understanding was gmail uses nonstandard headers to store labels.

Correct, GYB saves the original message to an .eml file and stores the label information in the .sqlite database file. Google Takeout had it's own method of of storing the labels in a header. GYB can read those headers but it's not the format it natively exports to.

Kay - Awesome, except for my next step in the process:

I'm using GYB to export the eml files. Then I import them all into one pst file. Obviously Outlook isn't going to grab any info from the sqlite document... Is there a tool you've seen that will combine that info? 

Or do I just have to export to mbox via Takeout instead?

I've not had luck with imap sync via Thunderbird given my user file sizes.

Nope, GYB isn't designed to do that.
