I keep getting hit with Temp error rateLimitExceeded errors after trying to use GYB for one user.

is there a command i can use that will tell me where i am in the quota or ideas on why I am running into it with small user mailbox backup?

also, GYB doesn't seem to run well in PS. I wrote some code to error check and prompt but there is a noticeable difference using PS. Thoughts?

Try using --batch-size 4 with the back up command. I think it may have to do with the users labels. I have no problem downloading 100 emails at once which is the default for my account but ran into a lot of errors with users. If I strip labels during backup, I've found it to be ok too.

As for using PowerShell, I had another customer who ran into the issue where GYB would freeze occasionally. I've originally run in command prompt but have now moved onto bash, which has been more reliable at handling hundred or thousands of accounts so far.

I am try --batch-size 4 in the command now.

There is no gyb command as far as I know, but you can monitor in GCP console.
