I am trying to run a restore on a gyb file but it gets to about 10 messages and then gives me the message "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host". Has anyone else run into this?

gyb --email user...@something.com --action restore --local-folder GYB-GMail-Bac...@something.com --service-account --label-restored user.temp.Backup

The error implies something happened to GYB's connection to Google servers to interrupt the backup. By order of likelihood, this could be:
  • WiFI or Internet connectivity issues
  • AntiVirus/Security software running on your device or network
  • Issues at your ISP
  • Issues at Google
The first two are the most likely. You can help wth the first by running GYB on a PC with a wired connection or by running it in a Google Cloud VM. For the 2nd, it's just a question of understanding what software you are using that may be able to interrupt the connection.
