Migration from Workspace to Gmail - Takeout vs GYB backup

As one who is anxious to get away from Workspace I was excited to find this project!

I'm planning a one-time process of extracting data from Workspace accounts and loading it to Gmail accounts. Am I likely to have a better experience using GYB to extract the data, or just using Google Takeout?

I'm doing a trial restore right now using the latest Takeout backup, and I'm seeing some minor weirdness. Specifically, I have an _ARCHIVED label and a label (eg. "Category Updates") for each category in the original account. Would I find the same thing, if I used GYB to extract the data from the original account?

Any information would be appreciated.

An update for anyone coming after: Using GYB to extract messages works much better than using Google Takeout. All of my issues with labels and categories were instantly solved.
