Gosu - rest api request example

Hello, I'm completely new to gosu. I'm looking into creating a little app that makes rest api requests to lichess.org (for example). Is there any documentation on making http requests? I'm only finding stuff on SOAP. 

https://gosu-lang.github.io/2016/03/01/new-json-support-in-gosu.html - It mentions " straightforward access to REST web services" but I can't find any documentation on it.
