Gosu plugin for IntelliJ Idea won't install

I'm new to gosu (and Java, for that matter).  I've got the latest versions of IntelliJ and gosu of my win10 box.  I tried to install (from disk) the latest version of the gosu plugin, but No Joy!!  I get an error message to the effect that the plugin is incompatible with the version of IntelliJ. Is this plugin still being maintained?

Speaking of maintaining, what's the skinny with gosu? Is it still in active development, or on the back burner?

Gosu is very much under active development - however, our IntelliJ plugin does not yet support the 2016.x releases. You'll need to use IJ 15.0.x.
