Hi all,
I'm going to be attending the Water Resources Advisory Board Meeting this evening at 7pm and am sending out a note in case people want to join me in attending.
LOCATION: Municipal Service Center (Yards), 5050 Pearl St.
(Apparently the switch to this location for this meetings is permanent.)
Why? The main topic at this WRAB meeting will be the mapping of the Boulder Slough (aka the irrigation ditch running on the north side of our neighborhood). Overflow from this water course was largely why our neighborhood was impacted by the flood.
WRAB meetings have a public comment period the same way City Council meetings do at the beginning of the meeting. See this url for the agenda:
We discussed GGNA raising our profile by becoming more of a presence at some of these meetings. If you know you can come this evening and would like to speak, respond to this email with a quick note about what you might like to say so we can coordinate and have pertinent stories to share during the open comment session.
As discussed at our neighborhood meeting last Wed, the focus of this mapping may or may not influence the mitigation projects that could affect our neighborhood as most of the Slough is on the north side of Canyon, however, it would be good for us to keep track of this project. Information associated with it (maps, etc.) can be found here:
Thanks,
Diane
