9th street and college crossing

We, the community of Goshen, is investing in another trail extension. The 9th street path will add a continuity of experience between our beloved Pumpkinvine (via abshire and Fair road) to the Winona trail. We are fortunate to have a community that invests in such infrastructure.

Unfortunately the crossing at College Ave needs to be redesigned and rebuilt. The attached picture is northbound and shows a curb directly in line with the trail expecting users to cross three streets to the left westbound. tThe design looks like a three point crossing for pedestrians to cross at the older cross walk. This is a multi-purpose trail, not a sidewalk and should be designed thus. This is a serious blockage for the goal of Continuity of trail experience. I will be requesting engineering and board of works correction. Please add your support.

I will also be talking to engineering about the Kercher crossing as well as that is a very appropriate concern brought by this group.
