Bicycle Friendly signs

Another issue for Leslie is to ask what happened to the two signs the city received announcing that Goshen is a Bicycle Friendly Community? Why haven’t they been put up? It’s been six or seven years since we got them. When I asked Mary Cripe about it several years ago, she said something about they weren’t sure where to put them, as we have multiple entrances to Goshen, and (I’m not sure about this) they needed permission from the state on state highways. Even though we don’t have enough signs to have one at all five entrances to Goshen, i.e., US 33 SW, US 33 W, SR 15 N & S, SR 4 east, why not at least put up what we have? I don’t get the logic of not putting them up because we don’t have five. Does anyone else know the thinking? I realize a sign is a small gesture, but it reminds people that cyclists are part of this community, and they should expect to see them on the streets.
