Meeting tomorrow night

Just a reminder we'll be meeting tomorrow night (Mon Aug 24) at 7 pm
above Ten Thousand Villages on Main St. Downtown Goshen for a
debriefing and strategy meeting before next week's council meeting.

Also, a heads up that another out-of-town organization is stirring the
pot. This is from the "Indiana Family Institute's E-Family Update".
The next council meeting could, unfortunately, bring a lot more of out-
of-town individuals trying to promote their own agendas through our
city's laws:

HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA IN GOSHEN
It looks like some of the members of the City Council in Goshen have
been drinking the "liberal Kool-Aid". An ordinance will be debated and
possibly voted on September 1st that would add “sexual orientation”
and
“gender identity” as protected classes in the city code. Apparently
gay
activist groups have been working with members of the Council for
weeks. What will the ordinance mean? Here is an example: It would
be
illegal for a daycare owner to refuse to hire a cross-dresser to help
care for the children at that daycare. Indiana Family Institute
unsuccessfully attempted to defeat a similar ordinance a few years ago
in the Indianapolis City-County Council. Although widespread
discrimination is never proven, these slickly written regulations are
put into law in order to elevate sexual preferences within the law.
Sexual orientation and gender identity type of ordinances are
unnecessary and could put business owners and especially people of
faith
at odds with the law. Ordinances like these in other cities are
“solutions” looking for a problem.
