Fishing Diary is an original and fun fishing game where you have to use a cannon to throw a net and catch as many fish as possible. In fact, you actually have more than 10 different types of cannons to capture fish.
Welcome to the Finger Lakes Angler Diary Program. This volunteer program involves anglers who record their Finger Lakes fishing trip and catch information in diaries we provide. Data from this program provides DEC biologists with invaluable information which help guide our management efforts on the Finger Lakes. The angler diary program originally started in 1963 on Cayuga and Skaneateles Lakes and then expanded to include all 11 of the Finger Lakes. This program has been long running thanks to the dedicated efforts of our volunteer angler cooperators. The Finger Lakes span nine counties and two DEC Regions. The lakes from east to west are: (DEC Region 7) Otisco, Owasco, Skaneateles, Cayuga, (DEC Region 8) Seneca, Keuka, Canandaigua, Honeoye, Canadice, Hemlock, and Conesus. New angler cooperators are always needed to make our annual statistics more reliable. Please consider joining, even if you only fish a couple of times a year, because any information you provide is helpful.
Angler diary cooperators are asked to record trip information in diary booklets we provide. Every trip should be recorded even if no fish are caught. Each trip should include: water fished, a start time and end time, number of anglers, type of fishing, target species, species caught, length, whether each landed fish was kept or released, and any marks or fin clips on coldwater species. If there are no markings or fin clips, anglers should be sure to visibly write "NO MARKS."
If any information is missing or incomplete on a page, it cannot be used as reliable data and the information from that trip will be excluded from the analysis. Therefore, anglers are encouraged to fill out all the information clearly and as indicated on the example page in the diary booklet. At the end of the year the diary keepers are provided with a postage-paid envelope to send their diary back to us. After we collect the information from the diaries, we will return them to the anglers with a summary of that year's data, along with a new diary for next season's fishing trips.

A fishing diary is used for recording information about your fishing trips and catches. This information includes the date of fishing, exact location, type of fish, number of fish caught, weather, lures used, and other relevant information concerning the fishing. The purpose of the diary is to save information that can be reviewed later to remember the details of the fishing trip.
1. Record-keeping. A Fishing diary allows you to record your fishing experience in a standardized way. Since our memory is inaccurate at times, the fishing log acts as a backup memory. Not only is this a good place to keep and organize your fishing details, it makes the fishing experience very enjoyable to go back and look over time after time.
2. Learning tool. A Fishing diary allows you to determine seasonal and yearly changes regarding your fishing experiences. There are some variations based on certain weather conditions, but with a certain period of time you can easily predict the trend. This is very helpful when it comes to deciding "what to fish for, where, and when" in the future. You can decide on which parameters YOU wish to track.
3. Leisure. Reading a fishing logs on the past can give you a sense of pride on your achievements. Reading it from time to time can also be a great motivation tool. It also give you the confidence in fishing and this translates to even more accomplishments.
After filling the fishing diary after some time, you may start to realize a certain pattern. Some weather conditions may lead to fishing more fish than the other and this will help in determining the best weather condition. For example you might notice fishing on a rainy day leads to a better catch than on a sunny day or the other way round.
Analyze this information and it will give you the best condition to fish. It also helps you know what went wrong and why you were not lucky to get a good catch. It also gives you a guide on what to fish for, where, and when.

There are lots of fish to catch, and if you are a fan of the movie Finding Nemo, you need a reminder. The game features many clownfish that you need to catch using a unique fishing approach. Instead of using nets and bait, you will use cannons and bombs.

Muriel was born in in 1884 in Surrey, England. She was a tomboy and enjoyed many of the activities her brothers participated in, including fencing and fishing. Demonstrating artistic ability, she was enrolled in the Slade School of Art, where she studied under Henry Tonks. While Muriel did well and even exhibited a drawing at the Royal Academy, she was not destined to become a professional artist. Unmarried in her mid-forties she established her own household in a home called Ivy Cottage, in Wiltshire. Here she spent the rest of her life pursuing her interests in drawing, painting, gardening, and fishing, and here she welcomed her many nieces and nephews.
Her drawings evoke the full experience of fishing, not simply the challenge of hauling in a trout or salmon, but also the enjoyment of spending time out of doors and a love of the countryside. I imagine her spending cold winter nights illustrating the diary with the same calm and patience required for fishing. Her paintings and drawings allowing her to relive the days on the river or loch until her next outing.
It started in 1984. My spare time was devoted to the outdoors. From December to March, I fished steelhead. From April to June, it was trout fishing. June to September was salmon, and from mid-September to mid-December, I hunted.
At the same time, the video player and video rental business was taking off. It was well over a $1,000 to buy a video cassette player, and movie titles were limited. I had heard that Jane Fonda was making more money in her workout videos than in her movie career, and I came to the conclusion that in my world, a lot more people would be interested in educational fishing videos than working out, and my mind lit up with the possibility of getting rich by producing these videos. My only problem was that I knew nothing about video production and had no capital to set these wheels in motion.
A legend that had his hands on the pulse of the industry, he was respected by anglers and feared by politicians. My first meeting with him went fairly well. Wright had a new fishing operation in Hakai Pass on the west coast of Central BC. It was a ship called the MV Marabell, a retired Canadian minesweeper that was refurbished to feed and house fishermen wanting to fish from the train of small fishing vessels in and around the remote waters of Hakai Pass.
I was to accompany the production company on a flight from Vancouver to Hakai to film an adventure and educational fishing video in these remote waters known for big salmon. Wright and some of his friends were to accompany us to keep an eye and assist in the production if need be.
In previous years, I ranged far and wide looking for good trout fishing rivers, but this year I stayed surprisingly close to my New Hampshire digs, fishing the Ellis, the Wildcat River, the Peabody, and the Swift repeatedly, working different sections of the river to find the best fishing spots. This involved a surprising amount of bushwhacking, scrambling, and some wading, which doubled the fun.
I came across this book while at the Midland Game Fair in September. It caught my eye as it was boxed but looked like a diary having a brown hard cover embossed with gold lettering which I thought was rather unusual. Once I leafed through it I knew I had to buy it. It was a reprint of Muriel Fosters fishing journal which documents her fishing expeditions outlining a wealth of interesting catch records for a variety of locations in the UK (Scotland, Cambridgeshire and Berkshire) and Ireland. She also recorded the flies that she used, the weather, trout habits, fishing companions and was beautifully illustrated with sketches and paintings.
You can display diary content only for one selected water. You will see everything from that water several years back. You can find what type of baits you were using last year at this time and use them again.
Everything saved to diary is processed to charts in statistics. You can see how many fish did you catch this year compared to all years before. Average fish number per month, representation of fish species, average fishing days in month, and much more.
Organize your baits simply. You will add a name, manufacturer, category and photo. Baits can be searched and sorted. You can add bait to diary entries, so you will always know, what they were biting on.
