I'm trying to end the campaign solo with the engineer. I always arrive at the last defender with a Red or Yellow maxed out weapons and my turrets and missile launcher heavily upgraded, but my dude just die in a few shots...
The year is 2073. A hostile alien race has arrived on earth, after crossing countless star systems, with the aim of taking over the planet. Initially taken by surprise, humanity managed to react and organize a resistance that made it possible to fend off various enemy attacks. The defender (not counting the goalkeeper) who is closest to the goal you are attacking. (The goalkeeper is usually the actual last defender, but it is easier to teach this concept by referring to the last field player as the "Last Defender").This is an important concept to teach because you may want your center forward to play within 2 steps of the Last Defender. The "Last Defender" is usually as far as a forward can "push up" without the ball & still be "onside". You want your forwards to stay 2 steps behind the last Defender so they won't be as likely to be called offside. It is hard to dribble past the Last Defenders. But, what if at the point of the player receiving the ball, one of the defenders go out of play? Like for example, the goal keeper or the other defender is injured or goes out of the field. Would it still be considered an offside because there is only a single defender between the offending player and the goal? If yes, why can't this rule be exploited to effectively nullify the goal scored, if any?

In this image above, the player in the red circle is getting ready to pass the ball to the player with the red arrow pointed at him. Since the player with the red arrow has NO part of his body past the second to last defender (yellow arrow. Remember, the goal keeper is behind him), the player is NOT in an offside position.
At offside situations you usually look at the last person in a kit of a certain football club, because the goalie (with his different outfit) is on his line which makes one of the backline players the so-called second last defender.
I have to admit the assistant referee in the video above is in a quite good position. And Murray is just slightly offside, as you can see in the picture below that is foot is closer to the goalline than Mikel, the second last defender.
