Well, here is a long overdue update on the co-op project!

We now have a steering committee of 5 - Margie Fickett, Johanna Wyers,
Lori Loranger, Laila Goldring, and Deana Dahl.
Thanks to the Gorge Grown Food Leadership training classes, we also
have people not on the committee who are willing to help us out and
share the workload.

We have a bank account at Lacamas Credit Union! We are working on
gathering the information to show feasibility for the project, and
give us a better idea of how much money we're going to need to get
this off the ground.

We have a volunteer working on the bylaws for us.
One of the next steps is getting a business plan put together.

If anyone out there has experience writing business plans and wants to
help with this, please speak up! There will be many more tasks to
help with as we go. Meanwhile, thoughts, ideas, questions, comments,
etc. are always welcome.

I'm getting really excited by the steady progress we're making - we're
doing all the right things and progressing well. We have a clear
vision for the project, and I'm stoked to see it coming to life as a
true community venture.

Did I hear correctly that the store-front might be here in N. Bonn?

How exciting!!! Wish I knew more about business plans. I do run my own business, but I've not done any official business plans, so couldn't really help there. Hopefully there is some other way I could be involved. I'm so glad to hear things are progressing!!

I hope to get a list of tasks put together soon, so people who want to
can get involved in specific ways.
I'm so glad you are interested in being involved! Thanks for the
support!

Yes Lucia! Our intent is to locate in North Bonneville if at all
possible.
We remain open to other locations if NB doesn't work out or some other
great spot comes along at the right time.
Getting a location is actually one of the final steps - first comes
all the business plannng and fundraising!
But North Bonneville is our first choice.
