The "files" are for documents that aren't meant to be easily changed -
the files area is a filing cabinet for official documents like the
Articles of Incorporation, meeting minutes and the like.
However the "pages" area is for living and changing documents, which
are meant to be altered, added to, expanded on. For instance, there
is a page for questions to ask other co-ops - anyone in this group who
has a good question that other co-ops could help us with is welcome to
post it on that page.
I'm about to begin a page for drafting the bylaws. Eventually, we
will adopt bylaws that become a "file" - but while we're working on
it, everyone in the group is welcome to help draft the bylaws directly
on the bylaws page, or to add a new bylaws page for more extensive
drafting.
The discussion area is the place for questions, comments or ideas that
are not yet coalesced into something ready for a page, or that just
don't belong in the page document. For instance, I'll post a message
relating to the bylaws drafting in "discussions", since this kind of
background info is not intended to be part of the bylaws themselves.
I hope to hear from many of you as we move through the work of this
project!
