Hey there,
Summer is in certainly in full swing -- hope you are finding the ways
and means to enjoy every sweltering degree of it.
First a shout out to shop guys Justin, Aaron and Brock for
representing at the Cape Kiwanda Longboard Classic this last weekend.
The nice cool weather was a welcomed respite from the valley furnace
and the clean, windless surf conditions made for a fun weekend. All
three guys made the finals in the 20-29 category -- which was
especially impressive considering they rarely ever paddle out on
longboards. Nice work, guys.
Speaking of longboards, we just received a new fleet of Stewart
longboards, including two 9'0 LSPs (one glass and one E-Type epoxy)
and a 9'2 and a 9'6 Hydro Hull. Very nice.
Justin, Brian and Blake are busy teaching kiteboarding lessons out at
Sauvie Is. this summer. Kiting is a blast...and like Warren Miller
used to say, "if you don't learn this year, you'll only be older when
you do." More info here:

We've got some great specials on O'Neill and Xcel wetsuits right now.
If you need a new wettie, now's a good time to save some clams.
We've also started a youth wetsuit trade in program! We'll issue up to
50% (depending on the suit's condition) of the purchase price of any
youth wetsuit in store credit towards a new suit. The trade in offer
is valid up to one year from purchase, and with a receipt. This should
help ease the pain of your kid's growing ;-)
Lastly, this weekend in the Kiteboarding for Cancer fund raising event
in Hood River. In addition to the 6-hour endurance race, silent and
live auction, live music, and kids' activities, they are including a
first ever Team Contact Stand-Up-Paddle Contest! And if you have no
idea what that is, don't worry... you're not the only one, but we know
it's going to be a blast. Gorge Performance has a team of kiters
participating, so if you can, please make a donation via their Team
page, found here:

We'd love to raise a boat load of money for such a worthwhile cause.
See you on the water,
