Below please find information about the Wind Symphony's performance at
Superstate this Sat., May 9th.

Illinois Superstate Concert Band Festival
Krannert Center for the Performing Arts
The Great Hall Stage
Saturday, May 9, 2009

7:15 AM Check in with Mr. Hicks in the Band Room via the Iowa Street
doors *
                       - Get your instrument and folder (with all music in it) and have a
seat
                       - Arrive already dressed for the concert; gentlemen pick up your
tux jacket, bow tie, and
cummerbund after you check in - make sure you are wearing black socks

7:30 AM Load Large Equipment onto the Busses

7:35 AM Everyone Board the Busses

7:40 AM Depart for Krannert Center

7:50 AM Arrive at Krannert Center
                       - Mr. Hicks will check in with the festival host
                       - When you exit the buses, you will only need items for the
performance (no instrument cases, coats, etc.)
                       - We will wait outside until it is time to go to the warm-up room

8:00 AM Warm-up begins in the Orchestra Rehearsal Room

8:25 AM Move to the Great Hall Stage

8:30 AM Performance Begins – No admission is charged to view the
performance
                       The Little Ripper
                       Russian Christmas Music

9:00 AM Group picture taken in the Opera Rehearsal Room or in the
Amphitheater

9:15 AM Board the Buses for the return to UHS *

9:25 AM Arrive back at Urbana High School/Unload Equipment

* If you do not plan on returning to UHS with the group, please bring
a note from your parent to give to Mr. Hicks at check in.

There will be a group picture taken of the Wind Symphony by Joelsch
Photography. If you would like information about that, please contact

Lets have a lot of Urbana Music fans in the audience, tell your
friends and family members that this event is free and open to the
public. The students and directors have been working very hard on this
event.
