How can I add extra icons?

Let's say we need to build an app with features like instagram. For that we will need a camera icon to set on the footer menu. How can we do that? And how about adding other extra icons too? Or is there any ways to replace the icons completely?

I would suggest taking a look at Font Awesome, http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/, they have a lot of icons that you can use and you should be able to add them easily into your code.
