Everyone knows there are a few financial issues going on with the NSRU that are in the process of being rectified. We are addressing the debt in a couple of ways: the first is to pick up a $25,000 loan to pay of some of the more urgent debt and the second is to do some serious fund raising. The $25,000 loan requires guarantors and we are looking for 10 at $2500 a peice. The NSRU currently has 8 guarantors.

If guaranteeing a loan is a bit too risky for you, there is a zero risk option. The NSRU is currently selling Sobeys gift certificates. You get dollar for dollar value in gift certificates and the NSRU gets a cut of the certificates sold. I think Digger said it best, "This is a no brainer". Further more the NSRU is going to kick some of the money back to the clubs. So your going to be helping the Gophers too.

For those who are up buying some Sobeys gift certificates, I could probably be convinced to hit up the Cluricaune sometime this weekend ... and next and pick them up. Tis the season for Ales and Bitters. We need to get all the cheques in for the Sobeys fundraiser for the 23 of November. I have attached the order form to the email.

If anyone is interested in being a guarantor, please read the email below. Janet Marcoux best expresses the urgency.

Who all was voted onto the exec for the NSRU?

I can't be a guarantor, mainly because I have never seen $2500 in my life let only be able to guarantee it. I am interested in the Sobey gift certificates though.

But you can convince your household to buy Sobeys gift certificates. You have until the 24th of November.
 
As for the NSRU meeting,  they didn't elect anyone to the committee as there was not enough people to have a vote.
