Maybe it is just me, but working on this list seems akin to arranging deck chairs on the Titanic given our country’s recent lurch towards Marxism and the potential for a world-wide financial meltdown.
Here is my personal list …
1. I adamantly support and defend the Constitution of the United States.
2. I adamantly support and defend Capitalism in the United States where Capitalism is defined as an economic and social system in which capital and land, the non-labor factor of production, are privately owned; labor, goods, and resources are traded in markets; and profit, after taxes, is distributed to the owners or invested in technologies and industries.
3. I believe that ideas like “redistribution of wealth”, “social justice”, “ecological justice” and “economic justice”, as they are currently defined and used by elements in our federal government, are in direct conflict with our Constitution and Capitalistic society.

Brian Folsom

Honestly, when I think about the direction this country is heading - mainly the debt that is being accumulated and how it impacts the future of my children and their children - I can't focus on anything other than what Brian listed. While I've seen that usdebtclock.org link before, I've never brought myself to go there because I'm not sure I could even deal with the reality of it. I understand that there are other really important issues but if fiscal responsibility and Obama's 'redistribution of wealth/socialism' aren't addressed, I can't imagine the rest will even matter.
Just my opinion.
