2026 - January - Wind One On Wednesday (WOOW)

This month, Wednesday, 14 January 2026 at the Anchor Bar in Leesburg, WOOW will be teaching folks how to tie an egg pattern. There are many varieties, but this session will focus on those patterns tied with GlowBug yarn. We will do a plain egg, one with a hot spot (featured in the photo), and if time permits, one tied by wrapping yarn. The egg fly is must have for early season trout fishing especially for stocked fish.

Materials include:

Short shank egg hook size 8 (don't go too small)

GlowBug yarn (orange, cream, pink, chartreuse, blue)

Optional: eggasty yarn for wrapping

Veevus 100D or larger

Some thin super glue

A vise, bobbin, scissors
