Google Voice how to clear default actions

Hey, I have Samsung Galaxy S7 Nougat with up to date google voice app.  When I press the phone icon in Google voice it uses my cellular dialer app, how to I change it to use my Hangouts dialer app instead or give me the option to choose between the two?  I already tried clearing data/cache in app settings and reinstalling Google Voice, but that didn't work.

If you have the Voice app configured to use your Google Voice number to make calls there's no need to jump through any hoops.  Using your standard dialer will leverage your Google Voice number whenever you initiate a call - or prompt you to do so if that's the setting you chose.  Alternatively, there is a separate Hangouts Dialer app on the Play store.

Yes, my voice app is configured to use on all calls and I do have my hangouts/dialer configured to right for incoming calls.  I'm trying to get the voice app to not use my cellular dialer by default, and instead give me an option for cellular dialer or hangouts dialer, know what I mean?
