Is there no way to ask for only bus routes, and no trains?

I have a bus pass and only really feel comfortable taking the bus. is
there really NO way for me to request only bus routes instead of
trains?

Hello abi,
At the moment, Google Maps doesn't have a way to ask for only bus
results. Out of curiosity, which metro region are you in?
