Several GTFS feeds for the same agency - is that possible?

Hi,

I have the source data coming from the transport agency in a form of many files in TransXChange format (http://www.dft.gov.uk/transxchange), and luckily there is a tool to convert them to GTFS seamlessly (http://code.google.com/p/googletransitdatafeed). This tool, however, only takes one source file as a parameter and so it produces one "google_transit.zip" per file, and neither of the formats can be merged easily (not involving additional programming), as I understand. Am I right, by the way? I know about the "merge" tool for GTFS but that's for date range, or it doesn't matter really?

So, I wonder if there is a way to publish more than one feed file still to be processed by google as belonging to the same agency?

For example, if "agency.txt" in all the files is identical, would that help? As an agency registered with Google, would I be able to register many feed URLs, or only one feed URL per agency is allowed and merging is thus unavoidable?

Thanks in advance and sorry if the answer is not very relevant to this group.

-Yuriy.

Hi Yuryi,
This is probably not the right list, but I'll answer this quickly
regardless - http://code.google.com/p/googletransitdatafeed has its
own mailing list.

Package the individual TransXChange XML files into an archive (zip
file) and use this archive as input to the converter. The converter
will extract the content of the individual files, but push the
resulting GT feed as a single google_transit.zip output archive.
