Google Transit doesn't seem to accept transfers between the Lakeshore
West and
Lakeshore East GO trains at Union Station. Presumably because there
isn't
enough connection time. (GO recently removed the scheduled dwell time
at Union from 6 minutes to 3 minutes).
However in reality, the two trains are normally the same train, and
when they
aren't, the second train waits for the first train at Union Station.
At the moment, it's making using Google Transit all but meaningless
for any
journeys where one travels through Union Station on this Line.
Here's an example for travel from Pickering to Oshawa:

The train description is:

As you can see, you have to wait 63 minutes at Union Station to change
from the Lakeshore East to Lakeshore West train. But in reality the
Lakeshore East train that arrives at 5:40pm at Union departs at 5:43pm
for Oakville as a Lakeshore West train.
