Hi sri,

Thanks for the report. It's likely that you didn't get results for
that trip because Google Maps doesn't know about any public transit
routes that would take you between the closest LIRR station and the
street address you mentioned. However, I agree that this result could
be improved.

As a general reminder to the members of this group: when reporting
issues, it's very helpful if you include a link to the result page in
question, using the "Link" feature in the upper-right corner of the
Google Maps screen.

The reason it doesn't work now is the time you put for the trip. The
nearest bus stop is one on the N95, a rush-hour weekday only shuttle
route. If the time you put does not get you to Farmingdale station at
a time that matches the bus, it won't work. However, I do think that
Google shouldn't say that your trip is outside the coverage area,
because that makes people think that there is no transit available in
the area. Rather, say something like this:

"A transit trip between X and Y does not appear to be possible at this
time of day or day of the week. Please try a different time."
