I want to use google test for safety critical systems.
ISO 26262 recommends a safety evaluation of all used tools.

We've done this but one of the results was, that a bug tracker is needed.
Now it seems like the google test issue tracker is not the "real" bug tracker.
Google seems to have an internal one too.

Does anybody have any experience with google test in safety critical systems?
Did you do an ISO 26262 qualification before?
Is there a contact available for google that I can talk to regarding access to their internal system (maybe via an NDA)?

Thanks,
Ralf

Hi Ralf,
in order to use gtest within safety critical application in compliance with ISO 26262 you should
* classify the gtest
* assign it a so called "Tool Confidence Level"
* qualify the tool by Validation
So to my knowledge Validas AG in Germany has done all this and can help you with the ISO 26262 documents

kind regards, Oscar
