Hi all,

I hope your school year is off to a great start. I am wondering if any of you have figured out a way to "drill down" on student level data?

For example, I've created a dashboard to monitor lunch application submissions. I have a table that shows Student ID, Student name, and status of lunch application.

Can you think of a way I could make the student clickable and then parent contact information shows up? I have all of the necessary data in my underlying google spreadsheet.

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,

I would just put an additional table below with parent contact info and limit it spatially to only show one row of data. Then I would activate the "cross filtering" chart interaction in the first table. Then when you click on the student in the top table it will filter the table below to just show you the parent info you want.

Hello,

I think this could be possible using the chart interactions/cross-filtering setting

I'm thinking you would have it set up where the parent information is in a separate table on the same page so that when a student is selected on your main table it would filter/populate into the 'parent contact' table. Let me know if you need me to elaborate more.
