Maybe the wrong crowd but... Connecting Looker to Microsoft SQL server

Hello All. I have a colleague that seems to be running into issues with Looker and using the Microsoft SQL server. Does anyone in this group have experience with this?

"I have a hard time connecting Looker to our local MS SQL Server and get the error message below. However, if I use an MS SQL App on my MacBook (Azure Data Studio) with the same credentials, everything runs smoothly."

Any advice would be appreciated.

Good Morning Chris, 

Are you using an on-premise server or an Azure cloud server?  

We use an on-prem SQL server and connecting data studio required some special pipeline. For our use of data studio this development wasn't worth it for us. 

If I find out what exactly that pipeline was I'll try to share it with you.
