Dear all,

Before becoming an educator I was Business Unit manager for a QlickView business unit so Business Intelligence was my cup of tea.
Over the past years I've been working with DataStudio and now Lookerstudio aftre the rebranding.
One thing I'm missing is a combined filterbox, let me explain.
We've been working on an analysis of tools in education and what they could be used for, all is stored in a simple google sheet combining text, numbers and bolean (checkboxes). The boolean was not recognized by Lookerstudio and translated into text.

What I'm trying to do is create a top part of the screen containing all parts teachers can select/or filter on to get a list in the bottom half.
The controls/filters should only show a checkbox or one word as when it's not feasible in that tool it's empty. So Where "selecteer" is shown users should be able to select that. The current controls require two times clicking, so I tried to replace it with tables but then all rows are shown and I only need the one possibility.

Anyone who has suggestions on how to tackle this fairly simple idea?
This is a sample screenshot of the dataset so for example in the column "Learn" several times "Selecteer" is available but I only need to show it once in my Filter half of the page

If I am understanding you correctly, one approach would be to add fields to Looker studio converting your columns selecteer value to a Boolean as described here. Then you can add checkbox controls that work like a true/false if checked unchecked. See this example
