A few days ago, I made a mistake that lead to a cyber criminal getting a hold of one of  my google accounts. This hacker then changed my age in my account so I was considered a minor. Then added me to their family link before deleting my account.

What this accomplishes is any recovery actions I can take are now blocked by default because google systems assumes I'm a minor. This has locked me out of my Google Fi account and my phone number since the account was connected to my phone-line.

For 3 days, I could not get Google Fi support to even admit that I ever had an account let alone restore it. Only when I discovered an email saying I was too young to have my own google account did I realize what the hacker had done to lock me out.  So I get on the phone hoping this new information will make the difference

It did not. Instead I was told to reach out to the family link owner (the hacker) and ask them to restore my account. I explained that asking the person who stole my account for it back will not work because they are trying to extort money out of me. I was promised they would escalate the issue and get back in touch with me.

They have not reached back out to me. Google support would rather I pay a criminal for my account than take the time to actually fix it.
